Two years ago, I had the privilege of becoming a writer for the Retirement Solutions Division of Pacific Life Insurance and, very shortly after, becoming part of the inaugural cohort of the Orange Fellowship. I never expected to be part of an organization like this, but I’m immensely glad that I took the leap and got to work with such an inspiring group of people. Over the last two years, this group of like-minded peers have supported each other through career changes, entrepreneurial projects, personal developments, and so much more—all while learning how to become the best Orange County community leaders we can.
I felt so immediately welcomed and included even with my notably minor experience with entrepreneurship and the business community. I was able to showcase and hone my strengths while gaining leadership, public speaking, and networking skills along the way. Most of all, it was an honor to work with this phenomenal group of people in reaching out to our community’s youth last year. Showing high school students what’s possible was one of the most rewarding experiences of my time in the Orange Fellowship, and I’m proud to have been part of that journey.
As this cohort comes to a close, I move forward a better leader, a stronger collaborator, and a more open-minded person. I look forward to seeing what all my peers and friends go on to accomplish—and I have every confidence that the future of Orange County is bright in their hands.
