Driven by a passion for medical devices and healthcare, Kimberly Overton moved from South Florida to Orange County to start her professional career at Edwards Lifesciences. Overton currently works at Edwards Lifesciences as a Manufacturing Engineer under the Technical Development Program. Edward Lifesciences offers this 18-month program to recent graduates to develop their engineering skills in different functional areas such as quality and product development. Prior to living in Orange County, Overton studied Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Miami as a part of a five-year dual degree program. Overton graduated in the Fall of 2020 with both her Bachelors’ and Masters’ degree. Ultimately, Overton hopes to use her educational and professional background to make medical devices more accessible to those in need. In additional to being a motivated engineer, Overton loves to experience the outdoors, travel, and read.
