Although Cassidy studied civil engineering, during her senior year at Vanderbilt University, she became fascinated by artificial intelligence and its impacts on society. After graduating, she moved to Orange County to work as a traffic engineer, but her fascination with AI remained and two months into the COVID-19 pandemic, she decided to leave her job in pursuit of this passion. After teaching herself to code and learning everything she could about the world of technology, she accepted a job at Balto, where she spends her time coming up with creative solutions to the company’s greatest challenges. When she’s not reading about AI and its ethical implications, Cassidy enjoys spending time outside, writing, and performing stand-up comedy.
